Touchdown !!

The shuttle landed today in Florida. A day early due to the threat of Hurricane Dean hitting Houston. With all the fun of working tile repair options and Hurricane evacuation plans, the flight seemed longer than usual. Maybe cause it was, due to some new hardware.

Bowdy starts school in less than a week! He's more than ready to be with kids his own age. Bailey is now officially a fish. She dives down and gets things off the bottom of the pool and pretty much swims whereever she wants. Tucker loves water, but also instinctively inhales as soon as it touches his lips...not a good combo.

I have been car shopping (for the past year it seems) and still havent found "the" car for us. 3 kids makes the choice harder, or I would be done. Problem is I want it all but am having a hard time with gas mileage or sticker shock or brand choices. Starting just to look for a temp vehicle for a year or two till something comes out I really like. Maybe wait for a Buick Enclave to come up used, I kind of like those. Ford and GM are coming out with some new vehicles that look promising in a year or two, so maybe just wait and see. The Dodge runs good, but the brakes are worthless and we are just waiting to hit someone in front of us..

Finally went and took my Birthday present to the shooting range. My Birthday was in Feb. It's the Kel-tec P3At 380 acp. 7 rounds in a pocket pistol. It fed all the target ammo fine, but didnt like the higher power self defense rounds, so will have to try a different kind.

Mom-mom and Pap come in about a week. It will be a whirlwind weekend I think trying to do a bunch of stuff. Tucker has his ear tubes that Friday as well. I want to hit the gun show this weekend to pic up some more ammo to go out with my dad shooting.

anyway, I will try get the kids to sit still and get some new pictures posted, instead of this boring rambling about our days in hot and humid Texas. We got over 5 inches of rain in a single day last week...
